Adding a guestbook

One of the things I’ve noticed lately is that some visitors to my blog have wanted to leave a comment, and have ended up doing so on a random post. That’s great, I have no issue with it at all. I’m always delighted to have people leave a comment, and I’d love it if more people would do so. I’ve had a fair number of page hits, but a relatively small number of comments so far. It would be great to have more two-way communication with my readers.

WordPress.com allows the creation of pages that are outside of the blog posting chronology. I’ve had About, Photography and Writings pages for some time. During September the pages gained consistent commenting, so any visitor can comment on a page. I’ve turned this off for most of the pages on the site. However, this has also created a convenient new way to add a “guestbook” to the site.

So, if you want to comment on the site and don’t have a specific post in mind, then do feel free to use the new Guestbook page. Or you can continue to comment on my blog posts. In fact, do both 🙂

[ the one thing I haven’t been able to do to my satisfaction is to put the pages in the order I want them in the blog header – I’d like Guestbook to go last… ]

  1. If you want users of your website to see in a map their geographical location altogether with the rest of your visitors, simply add a link to this url: “http://www.uniworldpro.com/uniworldpro/geovisits.php” like this:

Find out where the users of this website are coming from

Just install this link, then click on it to inmediately watch your position in the map. As more and more visitors keep accesing it a historic is created with markers on their locations. A visual guestbook kind of. Free and very easy to use.
