There’s a new beta version of Windows Live Writer available.
It still “just works”, and as far as I’m concerned the improvements in this version are just polish and shine… the only major change that I find useful is the in-built Tags plugin which enables me to add Technorati (or other) tags to a post, and I had a third-party plugin for that already. It still does not play nicely with Roller: it cannot auto-detect a Roller blog, nor can it get the list of tags / categories for my Roller blog, but it will let me post without problems. Works fine with WordPress.
If you need an offline blogging tool for Windows, give this a try. It has displaced w.bloggar for me.
I’ve tested it for some time and really enjoy it. Nice tool.
