Good point, well made. Admittedly the initial post was quite… unpolished. Definitely should have thought that through before hitting Publish.
The fact is that I’ve been needing to do some prioritisation, and I hadn’t expected to be able to post for a while. Interestingly this whole thing coincided with the blog reappearing in Google’s index, and I see that the traffic has gone up again and I’ve had some comments on some older entries.
Let’s see how this works out. I don’t expect to get back to “full speed” for some time.

Well as much as I’m pained to admit it, I have an ego surfing google news alert set up to email me when my name shows up in their index. It’s a hangover from the days when I very active in the press.
These days Mark Cathcart seems to be a 25 yr old Soccer Star at Edinburgh Uni; and a trader and Duetche Bank AG…
