I’m about to head over to Amazon to order a bunch of the books I browsed through on the conference book stall.
- “Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking” (Malcolm Gladwell)
- “The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference” (Malcolm Gladwell)
- “Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything” (Don Tapscott, Anthony D. Williams) – still haven’t read it!
- “Purple Cow: Transform Your Business by Being Remarkable” (Seth Godin)
- “Blog Marketing” (Jeremy Wright)
- “Google Power Tools Bible (Bible (Wiley))” (Ted Coombs, Roderico DeLeon)
- “Second Life: The Official Guide” (Michael Rymaszewski, Wagner James Au, Mark Wallace, Catherine Winters, Cory Ondrejka, Benjamin Batstone-Cunningham) – nice to see a SL book at a WebSphere conference 🙂

Hi Andy, I haven’t commented here for awhile, it’s about time I do 🙂
Wikinomics is awesome! So awesome I built part of my final presentation around it last week. I think you’ll like it too.
Haven’t read the rest, but I have been thinking about “Blink” and “Tipping Point” for some time. I haven’t read any of Seth Godin’s books but I know I should read those too. Seth Godin will be in Ann Arbor promoting his new book coming up, but it’s $50 to attend…yeesh (you get 5 copies of his new book to share with that). What is great about the Seth Godin event is that the local blogger community got together and got the whole thing planned and rolling with sponsors in about a month! I thought that was pretty amazing anyway.
Anyway, enjoy those, let me know if you like any of the others.
Hi, and thanks for stopping to comment. I ought to reciprocate from time to time 😉
You’d also made some Flickr comments about Wikinomics, so it has been on my list for ages – last week I got to leaf through it and it does look pretty good. As for the others, I don’t really have time to read all this stuff – but I’ll get them on order and then start to work through them. It has been a while since I’ve read so much in general, and non-fiction in particular, so I’m quite enjoying it.
Don’t worry about reciprocating, I can tell from your Twitters that you’re quite busy 🙂
I don’t have time to read either, and I work in a library! This is a good list though, about what I would read if I did have the time.
